Are you archiving pictures, music, videos, and other files to optical media? If so, you know that it is quite frustrating to try to find a file once you've moved it from your computer. Sure, you can label your discs with as much information as you can, but what if you could remember only the name of a file instead of the disc it was saved in? Gentibus CD is a simple yet powerful program that will help you in this annoying task.
Gentibus CD is very fast and easy to use. You can use it to index files stored on removable media such as CD's, DVD's, Pen Drives, hard disks, etc., and create searchable catalogs that can be used without having access to original media. Searching capabilities are based on file name, date, size, category, description, type and disk. The advanced search function will also find 'Star Wa' in case you are looking for 'Star Wars', for example. Gentibus will find duplicates, and discover image, audio, video and program files as 'super-categories' on its own, which comes very handy when you are archiving media with mixed content.
To sum up, if you are looking for a good tool to catalog your CDs, DVDs, then I'm sure Gentibus CD is one of the best options you can find.
