GCViewer is a free, open source software tool used to visualize data generated by Java Virtual Machine options -verbose:gc and -Xloggc. It can calculate garbage collection performance metrics such as throughput, accumulated pauses, and longest pause, which can be helpful in tuning garbage collection for a specific application by altering generation sizes or initial heap size.
