My team and I have developed a new tool for Metin2 editing, the Map Editor. It allows users to edit regen/boss/npc/stone/monsterareainfo. The development of the tool took around one month, but the biggest challenge was the regen (the term for all spawn files), as it had to be split into quadrants for faster searching. The Map Editor can now edit attr.atr, height.raw, shadowmap.raw, water.wtr and all regen files, but not server_attr, town or objectdata.
