As its name implies, this free program lets you extract the audio track from a MP4 video file so you can hear it in your music player. But this name is deceptive; in fact the program can do a lot more, since it is a comprehensive audio and video format converter. You only need to add the audio or video file(s) you want to convert, choose the destination folder, and select the output format. This can be done in one of two forms: you can choose the actual format you want to convert your files to, or the device in which you are planning to use them. In the second case, the program will choose the right format for it. If you decide to choose the actual format by yourself, you can set the quality level, among other characteristics.

Once you have set all the desired parameters, you only need to click on the Convert button. In general, the program works fast, but its speed depends on the size and the amount of files to be converted.

The program is free to install and use. However, the installation wizard asks you to install Skype in your system, a demo of TuneUp Utilities, and Blur and SuperRadio add-ins. You can decline to do so and still have the converter installed.
