Free Movies Box is a rare beast: a freeware program for accessing otherwise non-freeware products. It's an application that provides a way to enjoy various movies in HD with no pay and no catch.
The interface is pretty straightforward, a mix between a media player and a browser giving you access to a library of movies, the list of which is renewed and updated weekly. If you like one of the movies offered, you can select it and set the program to show it in high definition. All the versions of provided films are full and uncut. The only downside is that Free Movies Box only shows a selection of movies, with some films you would like to watch possible absent.
Luckily, it's pretty easy to find something you need, as the list can be filtered by genre and type of the movie you want to watch: action, adventure, animation, comedy, documentary, drama, family, children's films, foreign (non-English), horror, music, mystery, romance, sci-fi, fantasy, sport,etc. If you need a specific movie, there's a search tool that works fine enough not to be an obstacle. There are also ads, but those can be removed without third-party extensions.
Newer versions of the program allow users to transmit the movies on other devices, like a TV screen. There's also an option to add specific films to Favorites.
All in all, I find Free Movies Box a nice app. Of course, its range is limited to the selected movies in the list, but there are thousands of them, so you'll probably find something to entertain you. It's nice, clean and doesn't freeze. The ads can be annoying, but hey, the app is free. Also, it's nice to see the developer who updates the program so well. Free Movies Box already has Windows 10 compatibility, an Android version, and it's probably going to keep being updated. A nice thing to see these days.
