The latest update of this tool hadn't brought any remarkable changes, at least not for me. Free Any Data Recovery remains the same commercial, non-free application, that wrongly advertises itself to be free when in fact it's more of a promotional tool meant to make you pay for the upgrade to the commercial program called Amazing Any Data Recovery. Now the text displayed when pressing the “Register” button is even more confusing and full of typos and errors, but otherwise, nothing is different.
I'm really not a supporter of such deceiving marketing tactics, when tools are incorrectly presented as free, therefore I can only say that this is a tool that I will clearly not recommend. In its current form, it can only serve the purpose of letting you view recoverable files. After the scanning for recoverable files is completed, when you attempt to actually recover any files, a pop-up window is displayed, telling you that purchasing and registering a different tool is required.
If you're still interested in what this tool offers for free, there are four operation modes: one that lets you search for deleted files, one that scans for data lost due to drive formatting, a deep scan mode, and an image creation mode. It also can recover only specific types of files, selectively, like images, videos, documents, etc. For a free tool, these features would've look truly great, but unfortunately, I have to remind you that this is not a free tool.
