Font Sleuth is a program that comes as an alternative to working with Mac's Font Book for managing your text style. With its help, you can immediately locate fonts within your Mac, identify text styles, and preview each of the installed fonts on your computer.
Once the application is installed on your Mac it automatically starts scanning your font collection and reveals the needed information in its main window. You can use the integrated search tool to immediately find the font you need for your project.
Furthermore, Font Sleuth features a built-in utility that helps you identify text styles. You can also use the program to organize your fonts into multiple groups, a feature which comes in handy if you're dealing with a large text style collection.
However, you can find cheaper solutions for managing your font collection. For example, you can use the Mac OX S default tool. Font Book isn't as feature-rich as this program but it sure comes in handy if you only need to search a certain text style.
In conclusion, it's up to you to decide, based on your needs, if it's worth buying this application for your computer or it's best to continue using Mac's Font Book.
Identifies fonts on sites and lets you try them legally in your software tool.
