Foldery is a Mac utility that provides you with a quick and simple way to change folder icons on your computer. This program might come in handy to users who wish to organize their desktop folders by changing their appearance and sorting them into groups.
Even though on its homepage it says that the program is commercial, Foldery is actually free. When you open the home URL within the Mac App Store, you will see that the utility is actually free of charge and can be installed on your computer.
All you need to do in order to change folder icon is to drag-and-drop the directory over Foldery's interface, choose a color from the panel, and let the app get the job done. The utility takes a very small amount of time to apply the new icon changes.
I would've like this program more if it allowed me to add personal images as icon templates (you can only select the colors you like from a color wheel).
Nonetheless, the application does an incredible job customizing folder icons, is very simple to handle, and is free of charge. So, I can't find any reasons why you shouldn't try it in your Mac if you ever need to alter folder icons.
