FolderBrander is a simple Mac application for users who need to customize the appearance of their directories. This program might prove to be of good use to people who wish to personalize folder icons within their dock for easier and quicker identification.
The app provides you with various folder icon settings. For example, you can include text content to the icon, select the proper font style and size, add visual effects, and much more. You also have access to several icon designs, some of them being inspired from older OS X versions (Tiger and Leopard).
After you make the necessary changes, you can click the Apply button and wait for the program to get the job done.
An important advantage is that you can always revert the folder icon changes if you're not happy with the results. Furthermore, you can save output profiles in case you wish to re-use them later.
The only thing missing from this tool is the ability to add personal image files and set them as icons for the input folders. But I'd say FolderBrander is worth a try if you're happy with the amount of features this app has to offer.
