Folder Changer 4.0

Folder Changer has been designed to let you customize your folders. You may argue that this is nothing different because you can do that directly from your operating system by means of the Customize tab in the folder properties window. However, let me explain to you that Folder Changer will go well beyond that because it will not only let you use an icon to identify your folders but also use photos to personalize them or change their colors.

Perhaps, the most outstanding feature of the application is how easy you can customize your folders. Much of this ease of operation is the result of a well-designed interface in which a series of tabs will compartmentalize the different functions. Accordingly, the tab labeled Color/Organize will let you change color or use different types of icons to visually differentiate selected folders. The second tab, called Photo/Add your own, will allow you to use photos to personalize your folders, and if you are not satisfied with the available photos, you will always be able to add your own. Finally, the Fun tab provides lots of cute icons to choose from. What is more, all the functions can be performed by means of drag-and-drop actions, without ever having to type a single character. For example, to change a folder’s color, you will only need to drag it to the desired color. Likewise, should you want to add a new photo, it will suffice to drag it to the Photo/Add Your Own tab.

In general, Folder Changer is a simple yet excellent application, whose real value is related to the originality of its design and the resulting ease of operation.
