Focus Booster is a Mac program that uses Pomodoro technique (uses a timer to break work into intervals of time, separated by breaks) and helps you keep track the amount of time you spend working on your tasks. This type of applications comes in handy to freelancers who need to monitor and send the work times to their clients for calculating their fees.
The first thing you need to do before working with this utility is to create a personal account on the homepage of the developer. You don't need to validate the account in order to use it in Focus Booster. Afterwards, you can launch the program, log in to your new account, and you can start tracking your work time.
The app lets you define the preferred work and break intervals of time, displays a small timer window on your desktop if necessary, and lets you pause and resume countdown. Furthermore, all stored info is automatically synced to your Focus Booster account and can be accessed at any time, from any device, by using your default browser.
But the most important aspect is the fact that the program automatically creates reports with the time you spent working on your task. You can also generate CSV files with invoices to share with your clients.
All in all, Focus Booster proves to be a reliable solution when it comes to managing the time you spend working on your projects. Plus, it comes with a very reasonable price.
