FlixTools is a utility designed by the company behind the Open Subtitles website. With its help, you can easily find and download subtitles for your movies and TV shows. The program also enables you to upload your own subtitles to the Open Subtitles webpage.
You don't need much computer experience in order to work with this application. Its interface is very intuitive and features easy-to-configure download settings. All you need to do is to import your movie or TV show episode and the program will immediately start looking for the subtitle files you need.
Unfortunately, the utility doesn't always work properly. It occasionally freezes, especially when sending the video and subtitle to the iTunes app for playback.
Another bad aspect is that you need to upgrade the application to other versions (Basic, Pro or Lifetime) in order to unlock extra features. It also fails to import videos with extensions like SWF, MTS or 3GP.
In my opinion, you should download and test the application to see how it works. Then, you can decide if it's worth upgrading the program to another version or use the Open Subtitles services directly from your web browser.
