FlipShare is an app that helps you get videos out of your Flip Video camcorder. The app can also import other videos encoded with the supported format. I believe that Flip Video camcorders use H.264 and 3ivx to encode videos. Other than opening videos, FlipShare can also be used to start a collection and it has good options to organize it and manage it. You can start adding videos to the library under FlipShare after you install it, and they will show under the Library title on the left menu. You can then preview them and play them from within FlipShare.
Once you have videos on FlipShare, either from your Flip Video camcorder or from other sources, you can start editing them. There aren't any advanced video editing features, but you can do the usual things, like trimming, cropping, and adding music. The Flip camcorders are all about ease of use, and FlipShare seems to follow the same approach. The user interface is very clean and to-the-point. I was expecting it to not even open without a Flip Video camcorder connected to my Mac, but it did, and I was able to import videos as well.
FlipShare has excellent video sharing features, allowing you to upload videos to YouTube or send them in an e-mail.
