This utility is more than just a clipboard manager for Windows PCs. Besides enabling you to paste text content and easily manage your clippings, this program also helps you boost up your productivity by allowing you to define abbreviations for certain groups of words or even entire phrases.
You have access to a lot of instructions which prove to be of good use if you're new with this type of Windows utilities. You can create your own database where you can store all of your abbreviations along with their correspondent expansions. For example, you can create an abbreviation called "email" with the expansion "[emailprotected]". To reveal an abbreviation or the clipboard history, simply hit the Ctrl+U keys. Then, select the item you need to be pasted. Flashpaste also provides you with a couple of abbreviation examples in its Common Database (you can switch databases from the main menu of the tool).
Furthermore, the tool lets you export clipping info and abbreviations to a TXT file and provides you with the ability to back up the stored content at every X days.
In my testing, I used the program to paste content from my clipboard history as well as snippets saved in the abbreviation database. The utility immediately completed any given task, without using many CPU resources.
To be honest, I can't find a single bad thing to say about Flashpaste. It works perfectly, brings you many useful features, and comes with a fair price.
