Fairy Tale Mysteries 2: The Beanstalk is a puzzle game with an immersive plot that puts a new twist on old fairy tales. In this version of the story, the giant in Jack and the Beanstalk is the sole surviving member of a race of giants that once warred against a benevolent people called the guardians. Now that Jack has awakened the giant, the world is again in danger. The player steps into the shoes of a detective from the Brothers Grimm Institute, who must travel through fairy tale words in a mission to defeat the giant once and for all. Doing so involves searching for hidden objects that may contain clues.
Fairy Tale Mysteries 2: The Beanstalk is true to the now-familiar conventions of the hidden object genre, fans of which should appreciate its solid gameplay. The player must travel through five different worlds, which between them include 52 locations; along the way they will encounter 15 hidden object scenes and 29 additional minigames.
