EssentialPIM is a personal information manager that can store and manage different types of data. It is at the same time an e-mail client and a planner. It includes a calendar, a to-do list and a contact list. In addition, it can store frequently used passwords for other applications and websites.
Its interface is easy to use. In many respects, it is quite similar to well-known mail applications as Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express. Perhaps the most important element is the bar on the left where you can select the different program modules. In general terms, if you are familiar with applications of the same type, you will not find any difficulty because these tools are used in quite similar ways.
Notes is one of the modules that deserve a few words being written about it. This works as a full-fledged editor which you can use to edit formatted text. In addition, you can also add tables and pictures there. The created notes are organized in a tree-like structure, made up of root, child and sibling notes.
Special mention is also deserved by the Password module. This will allow you to store your passwords for frequently used web services and applications. Unfortunately, it does not provide any kind of integration with your browser, so most operations have to be done through the clipboard.
In general, EssentialPIM is a comprehensive application including useful features and eliminating the necessity of using several different applications for these tasks. As an e-mail client, it can be used as an Outlook alternative.
