Espionage is a Mac application specifically designed to encrypt folders on your computers. This security utility uses the powerful AES-256 encryption algorithm to protect your directories from being accessed or altered by unauthorized users while you're away from your desk.
It's important to pay attention the first time you launch this program. A setup assistant guides you through several steps where you learn more about the app and set the master password (grants you access to the app's screen).
Espionage is a program that sits on your Menu Bar. You can drag-and-drop the folders you wish to encrypt or decrypt over its correspondent icon, access the integrated help manual for assistance, and configure the app's settings according to your needs.
Unfortunately, this new app version still doesn't allow you to encrypt individual files and fails to offer you a solution if you forget the master password. In my opinion, the best thing you can do is set an easy to remember access password to prevent any possible data loss.
To sum things up, Espionage is an efficient and simple to handle folder encryption utility that comes for a reasonable price. However, if the aforementioned flaws mean much to you, I'd suggest you to try another program to encrypt directories on your computer.
