Enigma has nothing to do with the similarly named ciphering machine used by the Germans during WWII. This game is more like a collection of popular puzzle games.
Enigma will take time and patience, especially as it offers more than a 1000 landscapes to work through. You have three different landscapes, or gameplays to choose from: in Oxyd you match up coloured stones by hitting your marble against them in some order, in Meditation you have to guide multiple marbles into shallow pits while in Sokoban you push blocks around to reach your goal.
Movements are all controlled via your mouse, which is both simple and at times excruciatingly difficult, like when trying to control more than one, and getting them to move where you want.
Despite the developers' claim of high resolution 2D graphics we still found them pretty average. The game lacks colors and animations, such as the rolling of the marble balls, of pretty weak. The audio effects were also fairly disappointing and are best left switched off.
Although it won't offer you high end effects and graphics, Enigma is a fun puzzle game with enough levels and game modes to keep you playing for years. A good collection of classic puzzles.
