Empires: Dawn of The Modern World is a real-time strategy game in which you take control of one of nine different civilisations and lead it to victory over your rivals by collecting resources and capturing your enemies'. The game covers the period from the middle ages to the Second World War

you start as one of a number of medieval civilisations but must transition to a corresponding modern one when you get to the early modern era.

Classic RTS gameplay

Empires: Dawn of The Modern World is a classic RTS: you send units out to collect resources which you use to produce more units. Creating buildings gets you upgrades and increased capacity for your units. On the battlefield you'll direct your troops in combats against your rivals. Your ultimate goal is to destroy your opponent's production or to create (and protect) a wonder that expresses the glory of your civilisation. You can fight shorter battles against human or computer opponents in Action mode or fight longer wars in Empire Builder mode
