Wave Embassy Trusted Suite is an application that can encrypt a system Bios and Windows password, as well as manage finger print enrollments (using an integrated or external fingerprint reader).
The application is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista, supports domain security integration and have a friendly user interface. However it suffers for some compatibility issues with Vista User Account control and could have bugs during installation on both Windows XP or Windows Vista if an antivirus software is running.
It supports hardware encrypting via TPM (Trusted Platform Module), a chip integrated on the systemboard or a NIC card by broadcom that will store user information such as: Bios and Windows Password, Credit Card and Billing Information, etc.
This a commercial application that could be installed on any computer that supports its hardware requirements (TPM compatible and Enabled, Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista), some computer manufacturers (Intel, Dell, etc) and vendors included it on their hardware drivers CD or available from their website.
I would recommend using the complete encryption solution (Bios and System Encryption via TPM) because the software encryption service can be easily bypassed running Windows in Safe mode.
