Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker is a password recovery tool. It can be used with a variety of devices. The application lists support for iOS devices such as the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, and for BlackBerry phones. This tool doesn't really connect to your phone or device in any way. It attempts to crack some files that are saved every time you backup your device or sync it with your computer. In the case of the iPhone, Elcomsoft Phone Password Breaker looks for the Manifest.plist file.
When you select the file, the application will start attempting to crack it. By default, it uses a dictionary-based attack. It uses a dictionary of common words to "guess" the password. You can change the approach by adding new tasks. During the cracking process, the application will show an estimate of the time left and the current password that it is attempting.
In my experience, Elcomsoft makes the best password crackers and this shouldn't be the difference. It supports GPU acceleration, which is very useful and it saves lots and lots of time.
