Convert XML files exported from the video editing Final Cut Pro X software to EDL files. View the source names directly from the FCP XML or QuickTime files and track any name conversions in a source table. Save the Sources listed in the Sources Tab as tab-delimited text.
EDL-X is a software that creates Edit Decision Lists (EDLs) from Final Cut Pro X XML files. It adheres to the CMX 3600 standard and can be used to transfer cuts to post production systems such as DaVinci, Smoke, etc. The program offers flexible source reel-name handling, including the ability to read source names from the QuickTime files used in the project, media file names, or the full file paths. Source names can be formatted to CMX standards (three numbers) or with 8, 16, 32, or unlimited alpha-numerical characters. Each EDL includes a source table for easy tracking.
