You cannot find any information regarding which file formats are supported by this utility. Nonetheless, I tried several media files and the following formats work perfectly: AU, M4R, MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, AIF,and M4V.
The program allows you to select the preferred start and end points and play the input files before launching the conversion process. An important advantage is that the app takes a very small amount of time to offer you the ringtones you need.
Once the conversion is complete, an icon will appear on the bottom-right side of the main window, which you can drag over your iTunes library or local folders to copy the output file.
