EaseUS Mac Undelete 5.5.1

EaseUS Mac Undelete is a file forensics tool for the Mac. It can be used to recover files that you have deleted recently. As you may know, the files that you delete from your hard drive aren't precisely erased completely. The logical reference to the files is simply removed. An app like this scans for those files and can recover them most of the times.

When you first launch the application, you will see a description of the app and a button that reads "Undelete". If you click on that button, you will advance to another window where you can select the volume that you want to scan. The app will then scan asked volume and return a list of files that can be recovered. You can browse the different folders where files were found or use the search feature to find a specific file.

In my testing, I scanned my main hard drive and the app found thousands of files. While looking at the results, I found that many of those files had not been deleted. They were in fact simply recently-modified files. There are of course other files that have been recently deleted.
