An important step you need to follow when planning a holiday or a business trip is to check the weather forecasts and get informed of weather conditions before your departure. Unfortunately, the information offered over the Internet or on the news is not always accurate.
EarthBrowser is a desktop application that might prove to be more useful than the solutions above due to the fact that it brings you real-time data from NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
You can look for locations from all over the Globe by hand or using its powerful search engine. Once you select the town or country you were looking for, the program will display the weather conditions for the next seven days.
One thing I didn't like about EarthBrowser was the loading speeding; it takes a while to load locations when zooming in or out, to display, for example, tropical storms and so on. Also, it would be useful if the maps/locations were displayed in a clearer way.
On the other hand, in my opinion, the application gets a plus for the fact that you can pin on the Globe the cities you visited and keep track of your travel locations with ease.
