DxO Film Pack is a program that provides unique and creative possibilities for your image processing. You can easily recreate the authentic look of over 80 legendary film stocks, complete with realistic procedural grain sampled from real film.

You can also achieve exceptional black and white conversions thus recreating the look of black and white films, such as Kodak Tri-X or Ilford Pan.

Besides more popular TIFF and JPEG, it can process RAW files and with the use of calibrated data from your camera, it applies analog renderings with beautiful colors. To further express your creativity the program provides you with 16 new analog film renderings among the 80 plus already included from previous versions.

You can even customize your film looks using a wide range of tools such as colored filters, channel mixers, fine contrast and more. Or you can play with over 40 designers presets, providing the vintage effect, aged looks, and other creative results. Other included tools are Textures, Light leak, Frames, Create vignetting or Blur.

One tool that I find very engaging and creative is the Toning tool, that allows you to age your images using a dominant color, like sepia or selenium, especially when effects are applied separately on the light and dark tones of your photo.

It allows you to export an image directly to Facebook, to take snapshots during processing or to print your edited images, not to mention that a large number of images can be processed with the help of batch feature.

All in all, I must say I really enjoyed testing this program and whether you want to resurrect the nostalgia of your favorite film stock, discover the look of film for the very first time or you're just looking for a way to make your digital photos look a little less digital, DxO FilmPack is the tool that you must try.
