Download Speed Test is a program that will let you measure the downloading speed of your Internet connection.
To do that, you will have to enter a link to download a file from any server. The program will download it, displaying the download speed in two indicators. The first one will show you the actual download speed, while the second one will show you the average download speed. The program will also show the amount of data transferred and the time used to transfer it, and a chart showing you the speed variations during the download. Finally, at the bottom of the window, you will see a text report with all the data about the downloading speed. If you want to run a continuous test, you will have to check the "Continuous Download" box. It is better to try different download links to obtain more accurate measures, since the performance of the servers will affect your downloading speed.
Download Speed Test can be installed and run in English or German. You can tell the program to save a log file in your disk, and force it to show the traffic information in bytes or bits. You can set the program to check for updates on each start.
