Dog Name Generator is a very small application that has a huge database of dog names classified by color, breed, gender and other characteristics. The program will allow you to generate random names based on your criteria (and if you want a random name, you just select the "Any" option). Unfortunately, the program doesn't have any info on the popularity of included names. Another disadvantage is that you cannot list all the names stored on the database or perform any kind of search.

It would also be useful if the program had a favorite list, so the user could add any name he liked and then compare the chosen names with each other. Another missing feature is the ability to add new names to the database.

The program's database is stored inside the program itself, so the program doesn't require an Internet connection to run. Moreover, it's totally free to use; it doesn't require any subscription or registration, and also comes free of any advertisements.

The program is compatible with all versions of Microsoft Windows, including Windows 7 and XP.
