DiskSorter Pro is a file management utility for Windows that helps users to classify and categorize files. It works with local drives as well as external and network drives. The program lists directories, folders and single files in a comprehensive way displaying detailed information such as storage percentage and usage. One of its advantages is that it automatically detects the type of files and categorizes those occupying significant amounts of space. DiskSorter is not just an organizer: it also enables executing regular file management operations, such as cut, copy, move and delete. In addition, it offers file categories per host, advanced classification add-ins, performance tuning options, and other advanced functions.
DiskSorter Pro can analyze, and/or filter file results, and then export file classification reports to HTML, Plain text or Excel CSV formats. As opposed to the free version, the maximum number of files in Disk Sorter Pro goes up to 1 million, and the max. storage capacity to 10 TB. The main advantage of the Pro version, however, lies in the possibility of having multiple profiles, and its networking functions for analyzing file classification reports submitted from multiple servers and computers along with host information.
Compared to similar file listing programs, it integrates advanced filtering and automatic classification, plus other important features like showing the amount of used disk space and the number of files per class, category, extension, etc. using chart graphics.
