Desktop Media 1.7 is a Windows program that adds drive icons to your desktop.
It will detect USB drives, fixed drives, CD/DVD drives, network drives, and even RAM disk drives, and will build a direct access for them in the desktop.
In the case of removable media (such as USB drives and CD/DVD drives), it will only add the drive to your desktop if it is present. So if you have a CD/DVD drive, but no disc is present, or you didn´t connect your USB drive, you won't see the icon on your desktop.
You can access the Options window by right clicking your mouse over the Desktop Media 1.7 icon in the system tray. You will then be able to choose your preferences for using the program.
The Link Mode can be soft links (that can be show maximized) or hard links.
You can also select which types of drive you want the program to represent with icons. The available choices are Removable, Fixed, Remote (Network), CD-ROM or Ram Disk.
You can choose whether you want to show a tray icon or not, if you want to save the icon positions and if you want to enable the Debug log.
