Declan's French FlashCards is a shareware program designed to teach us the French language. There are two options to start learning French: Flash Cards and Review Words. Flash Cards are individual cards, each displaying a basic word, number, or commonly used expression, plus its meaning, and its pronunciation by a native speaker. We can play the audio, pause it, and go backwards, as many times as needed. From the Review Words, we can choose the review mode (learning list, completed words, all words), and review again a word or a phrase, its pronunciation, and its meaning. Once we are sure we know a word, we are allowed to drop it from the learning list. Then, we can make the exercises, view our progress, and score. There is a lot of practice in writing, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, spelling/typing, and so on. The trial version contains 20 demo words. After registering the program, we are entitled to download and import over 3500 words and commonly used phrases from the on-line Audio Word Files Archive. The online word files (over 100) are organized by topics. We can evaluate this product free of charge for 15 days.
