You play as a detective whose presence was requested in order to investigate a mysterious spell spreading on the lands of Floralia. It is believed that the source for the curse is Rapunzel who sings a melody that summons the pollen which infects the kingdom's people.

Your first task is to reach the castle where Rapunzel lives and start your investigation. However, on your journey, you will learn that there's more to the story than you anticipated. You will need to complete numerous hidden object mini-games, collect useful items from the locations you explore, and put pieces together to find out what's going on in the realm.

The app offers you options to adjust noise volume and toggle windowed or fullscreen mode, provides you with a help guide, and comes with a built-in strategy guide.

When playing the game in fullscreen mode (I work with a wide screen) the graphics don't look too impressive. If you're having the same issue, I'd suggest you to enable windowed mode as the artworks look a lot better and don't ruin your gameplay experience.

As a conclusion, Dark Parables: Ballad of Rapunzel Collector's Edition is a nice puzzle game filled with many hidden object challenges. However, you can find other games within the publisher website that offer you better graphics and storylines, around the same price range as the aforementioned app.
