Countdowns is a simple Mac utility created for users who need to know how much time they have left until meeting their deadlines for various jobs, tasks, and activities. You don't need much computer experience in order to handle this application as it comes with a straightforward interface and easy-to-configure settings.
You can add as many countdown items as you need, delete the completed events, and edit entries if necessary. Once you finish altering the countdown settings for the entries, the application will display the amount of days and/or time you have left (you will see the number of days and hours on the right side of each item).
What's more, the program features an option to sync all countdown entries among various devices, such as iPhones, tablets, etc. This way, the stored information is always a few clicks away, no matter your location or the device you're using for accessing the countdown information.
Another thing I like is the app's ability to communicate well with the Notifications tool - Mac's default program for displaying screen notifications. So, you'll be notified once the timer hits zero for a certain task.
The one aspect that bothers me is that this program isn't completely free. You need to make in-app purchase in order to extend the date limit when setting up countdowns. Until you make this acquisition you cannot set a countdown for more than 30 days.
In my opinion, you should install the app, see how it works, and then decide if it's worth buying it or not.
