Conan Exiles is a fantasy survival game set in the world of Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian. As an exile abandoned in an unforgiving wilderness, you'll have to scavenge food, build shelter and battle enemies ranging from hostile wildlife to bandits and pirates just to stay alive.

An Age Undreamt Of

If you've played other open-world survival games like Ark or Rust, you'll be pretty familiar with the basic concepts of Conan Exiles, although the game puts its own fantasy spin on the genre. You can play in either PvP or PvE multiplayer modes, depending on your server's settings, and share buildings and resources with your clanmates. As you progress, you'll unlock new skills and recipes. The resources you collect include more than just stone and wood: with the right skills you can harvest souls as an offering to your gods, or beat down your enemies, break them on the Wheel of Pain and enslave them to work for you. In true Conan fashion, there's a nudity option at character creation, although you can also opt for a tasteful loincloth. Combat could be a little smoother, but there's a lot to explore in this rich, evocative world.
