CompanionLink is a small application. It can synchronize your Windows PC, or Mobile devices, Internet services like Google, etc, to/from each other. For example, we could synchronize Windows Mobile device with Google.
We can also edit the settings for any handheld device within a Windows PC. A lot of settings are available for us to configure, like alarms, memos, contacts, settings and much more.
There is a setting where we can select the primary database. That refers to the database which must be used to synchronize the other with, when a particular field is deleted from the other.
The PC Applications like Microsoft Outlook can be used along with this. But the popular Windows Mail, and Windows Live Mail, etc. are not available for synchronization. It would be nice, if new applications and devices were supported along with mobile phones (like Nokia).
The program doesn't have a good interface and it looks a bit old.
Configuring the email accounts is easy, but it will seem quite difficult to get it working. Most of the time, it shows some kind of error messages. Also, support for Yahoo, and Hotmail cannot be implemented directly in the program. It needs to be set up in applications like MS Outlook, etc and then set the program to synchronize it.
The Express version cannot Sync multiple databases and handheld devices together and lacks features like Advanced Activity Mapping, Enable or disable alarm sync, etc.
