The CommandPDF Template Editor shows a preview of the effects of a template in the preview area, on the right hand side of the document window. By loading PDF documents into the preview area, you can see how the changes you make affect the template, and therefore the final results of an imposition, overlay, or underlay.
Although the editor is princiaplly designed to ease the creation of imposition template to be used with CommandPDF, the editor has an export function (under the file menu), that allows you to create a new PDF document that reflects the state of the document as shown in the preview area. The upshot of this is that you can avoid using the command line workflow, if and when that is more convenient.
