Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines is a tactical game set in World War II in which you take control of a team of commandos to carry out a variety of missions. Each member of your commando squad has different skills which you will have to use to avoid guards destroy enemy weapons nests assassinate targets rescue allies and more. The game's isometric view shows the whole map at once letting you plan out your strategy in advance.

Taking up the challenge

Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines is a tense challenging game that requires forethought and strategy. Unlike many squad strategy games however it runs in real time requiring you to think and execute your plans quickly. You'll need to master the unique abilities of each member of your six-soldier team in order to achieve your objectives. Killing guards is tempting but almost never the best choice if you're discovered your mission will be blown. Solving a mission can be a frustrating process of trial and error but victory is tremendously rewarding. The only downside is that each mission has basically one correct solution once you've done it there's little replay value.
