ColorQuest is a program for Mac that might prove to be of good use to color-blind users as it can enlarge images with ease. It also immediately identifies and displays the correct color code of the area under your mouse pointer. Therefore this application also comes in handy to anyone who is interested in knowing the RGB color value for a specific spot on the screen.
You can choose between three color code display modes: RGB (additive color model in which red, green, and blue light are combined), CMYK (combinations of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key), and HLS (color components are hue, lightness, and saturation). After you select the proper color value representation you can move the mouse pointer to the desired screen area and get the shade values you need.
Another good thing about this program is the fact that it also provides you with an integrated speech tool which reads the color code and name.
Furthermore, the application can enlarge the mouse pointer area up to 200% and display the correct color value within moments.
Cutting a long story short, ColorQuest is a helpful app for color-blind users who wish to identify color codes on their screens. The program is very simple to handle, displays accurate color results almost instantly, and comes without a price tag.
