Color Lines is a board game in the match 3 style; it has simple rules and requires a lot of strategy. The difference with the traditional match 3 gameplay is that the challenge here is to create chains of 5 same-colored balls. In order to create these chains, we have to strategically move the balls in the grid, taking into account that each time we make an unsuccessful move, three extra balls will appear in a random position. Basically the goal is to get a high score, and this score will depend on the amount of lines we manage to create before the board is full.
The game interface offers an attractive 3D environment, allowing us to move the board to have a better view. It has a tool bar where we will find the basic controls to play, for example, we can start a new game at any moment, undo the last actions, pause/resume the current game, etc. Besides, it has some features that we can configure, for instance, we can change the background color of the grid, choose a different quality for the graphics and animations, among other options. The only problem is that there is no music and even sound effects that would have made the game even more appealing.
The game is free, is only 356KB, and in spite of being simple, it is entertaining enough to keep you occupied for a while.
