CNET TechTracker is a program that scans your system to check if your programs are updated. This utility finds out which program you have installed in your system, and then it looks up whether CNET has an available update for each of those programs. Finally, it creates a report telling you which programs are up to date, and which are out of date. It also tells you if the available update is free or if you have to pay for it. For each program detected, TechTracker provides a download link, which you can use to download the updated version of that program.
You can configure CNET TechTracker to run at Windows startup, scan your system immediately, as well as schedule scans and set TechTracker to update automatically. You can also choose where you want the program to save the downloaded files, how many simultaneous downloads your connection can manage, limit the bandwidth used for downloading, and limit the downloading to a certain time.
Note, however, that in order to use this service, you will need to register a CNET account.
