Simplify the organization of your data with a user-friendly and engaging clipboard. How many times have you copied something only to realize you need it again a few minutes later? Unlike other clipboard managers, the app offers both a visually appealing clipboard window and a convenient menu for effortless access to copied items. Its menu bar provides quick access, allowing you to open and close the clipboard swiftly.
Clipboard Evolved is a clipboard manager for the Mac. It allows you to keep a record of all the data that you copy to the clipboard, and it provides you with a way to paste that data back into other programs quite easily. Clipboard Evolved can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $4.99.
The app runs from the menubar, where you can access your clipboard history and the settings. If you right-click on the Clipboard Evolved icon, you will see a sort of clipboard with the most recent elements that you have copied. If you double-click on any of those elements, they will be pasted in the active application. There is also a cover-flow window that shows the clipboard history in more detail, but I really didn't think much of it, mainly because it wasn't as responsive as I wanted it to be.
From the preferences window, you can customize hotkeys or add new ones. These are used to show the clipboard history and the cover-flow window, or to copy elements in your history without using the mouse.
To start using this application, I had to enable the feature that read "Record Clipboard History". You'd think that would be enabled by default.
Unfortunately, there isn't a way to test this app without buying it and I am not reading good reviews on the App Store. I didn't experience any of the problems mentioned there, but I only used the app for a few minutes.
