Sid Meier's Civilization V for Mac must be one of the most eagerly awaited Mac releases of 2010 and fans of the epic strategy game won't be disappointed with the new game engine built from the ground-up.
Players can look forward to an entirely new combat system, deeper diplomatic interactions and loads of new expanded features in their quest to become the greatest ruler the world has ever known. Most notable of the newest features are hexagon tiles allowing for deeper strategy, more realistic gameplay and new stunning organic landscapes for players to explore as they expand their empire.
The brand new engine also means Civilization V looks better than ever with fully animated leaders interacting with players from a screen-filling diplomatic scenes and speaking in their native language for the first time. Successful diplomacy means managing relationships with other leaders, trading items and land, plying them with gold, and deciding if they are friend or foe.
Civilization V has also been made easier for beginners as it includes a set of advisers who explain the game functionality and provide counsel for significant decisions. Finally, Civilization V provides you with the chance to choose from eighteen historical civilizations so there's something for almost every history buff in it.
Civilization V is the greatest version of the game yet and should keep players absorbed for hours.
