Defend your motherboard from attack via Bluetooth

There are computer games and then there are "computer" games. Circuit Defenders takes the concept quite literally in a game which sees you having to defend your computer's circuit boards from invasion.

Circuit Defenders is a fast paced, tower defense based game in which you have to defend your circuit boards from attacking virus armies that are invading your computer through the Bluetooth port. To block these attacks, you have a selection of defense towers which you can place strategically to block their way in. The intensity of the attacks varies over 9 levels after which you can actually design your own levels and publish them online for others to pit their wits against (although this is not available in the demo).

Although a circuit board doesn't exactly sound like the most interesting setting for a battle, it doesn't really matter because the game still demands tactical savvy in defence and attack. For example, in addition to towers, you can use artillery, flame throwers and lightening to bolster your defenses. Unfortunately, the graphics don't really do the game justice and it comes across as rather flat in this department. You can add spice to the gameplay however by choosing normal, hard or crazy mode but in hard and crazy mode, mounting any kind of defense just seems futile.

Circuit Defenders is a real geeks game that takes virus attacks to silly new levels but it's certainly challenging enough not to get boring too quickly.
