ChilliTorrent is one of the simplest and smallest BitTorrent clients that you could ever find. It’s very lightweight, neat, and quite minimalistic, representing one of the handiest file sharing tools I tested this year.
Though it can’t be customized in any way, its interface is modern and straightforward. It makes the application both elegant and easy-to-use. It conveniently displays data about the transferring torrent files, such as their size, the transfer progress rate, the download speed, the upload speed, the numbers of seeds and peers, etc. Furthermore, it allows you to comfortably pause and resume the transfers to your liking.
The fact that it’s simple and neat doesn’t mean that it lacks all additional features, functions, and options. It lacks a lot of advanced settings indeed, but important ones like setting transfer speed limits, restricting the number of maximum active downloads, choosing the download paths, or configuring the used ports, are still available.
To sum it all up, I’m happy to see that not all BitTorrent clients are large, intricate, and overwhelming. ChilliTorrent is the perfect example that a BitTorrent client can be neat, intuitive, lightweight, and suitable for anyone, not just hardcore file sharing addicts and experienced computer geeks.
