An improved version of the ADHOC 2005 Showcase hack as Cartooner, a free open source application. Cartooner requires an iSight and will add various special effects to the iSight video, which you can optionally save to a QuickTime movie. Cartooner may work with other firewire devices, although it was only tested it with an iSight.Cartooner uses Apple’s sample code for movie recording, and two of the Quartz composition effects are based on code by Sam Kass.
