Cars Mater-National is the second installment of the game based on the Pixar movie Cars which features new tracks and celebrity voice acting. Unlike the previous game, which includes races mixed with featured minigames, Cars Mater-National in just a racing game. The game features two modes: a Story Mode and a Challenge Mode. The Story mode includes 17 races across 14 different tracks, whereas the Challenge mode features 28 events in three different categories: Trophy Hunt, Elimination, and Beat the Clock.The graphics and sound effects are great, and it offers amazing environments with cutscenes and races from the movie. However, it is a very basic 3D racing game, in which players select 1 of then characters and compete against three other characters in a three lap race. Each track offers a golden hubcap that unlocks new characters and paint jobs, and also different shortcuts to take. All in all, If you’re looking for a simple and cute game for kids, Cars is perfect for you. However, if you are looking for a solid racer, you should definitely look somewhere else.
