CalHash is an utility for macOS that you can use to calculate and compare the checksum (also known as a message-digest-fingerprint) for a file. There is a specific version of CalHash for each major version of the operating system. So, you need to use the correct version. You shouldn't try to use a version intended for an earlier operating system.
