BWMeter is a Windows tool that might prove to be of good use to network managers. This program helps you monitor your current download or upload speed, provides you with various firewall settings, brings you multiple filters for measuring bandwidth, and so much more.
The application sits in your system tray from where you can access its help manual and Options panel. It also displays two windows on your desktop showing the graphic representations of your local network and Internet speed fluctuations. You can move these windows anywhere you like on the desktop.
Furthermore, you have access to an integrated stopwatch tool. With its help, you will be able to record download and upload speeds for a certain interval of time.
Personally, I didn't like working with this app. First of all, I didn't like the app's interface at all. Too many functions, buttons, and tabs everywhere. Another thing that bothered me is that it blocked my Internet connection for no reason and displaying any notification or error message on my screen. I had to shut down the app to get access to the Internet again.
In my opinion, you should try a different network monitoring tool if you're looking for an intuitive and efficient app for your Windows PC.
