Buildbox provides users with the tools to create and deploy games for PC and mobile devices. It doesn't require any programming skills or coding experience, so it can be used by any type of user.
Its interface has a very modern look and it's comprised of the main menu tab, a left-panel toolbar and the content creation area. It provides users with lots of customization options, various tools and effects and comes with two skin theme choices. Still, all these graphic functions come with a cost: high use of resources. Thus, it's highly recommended to own a high-end system.
Buildbox comes equipped with multiple animations and effects that can be used to create game characters. You can use these tools to make characters shoot, jump, make sounds, or simulate various actions. The effects are also available for objects. Users are able to adjust settings and make objects fall or rotate. They can make objects move in any direction by modifying the linear and angular velocity.
Furthermore, Buildbox has the Creator tool that allows individuals to manage variables and create game infrastructure. By using this tool, users have access to the visual map of the game.
All things considered, Buildbox is a powerful program that allows engineers, designers or gaming enthusiasts to put their imagination at work and create unique games. However, its biggest con is the lack of support for 3D games.
