BT Helper is a BitTorrent optimization tool for Windows. It is a tool that has been designed to boost your download speeds and make it easier for you to connect to seeds and peers. It also has a few other optimization features, such as a memory optimization tool, a computer optimization tool, and a hard drive protection tool. The latter supposedly can ease the wear and tear that your hard drive suffers from all the reading and writing caused by downloading files from the Internet.

As far as speed optimization goes, technically, this application will not increase your download speed, it will simply make it easier for your BitTorrent clients to connect to seeds. In my testing, after turning this application on, I noticed that no connections to peers were made. All the connections were made to seeds, which is unusual. So, my reasoning is that, somehow, this application refuses connections to peers and it seeks more connections to seeds. This is great for you, but it won't let you share what you have downloaded. This might still sound great to you, but BitTorrent downloads depend on people uploading while they download so that everyone can benefit from it.

In my testing, I was able to reach my top speed a little faster than usual. Although it is claimed on the website that you can get up to a 100% increase in speed, you won't see those results.
